Jean-Pierre Buisson

Jean-Pierre Buisson (d. unknown), French textile worker and anarchist.

Textile worker, having been linked to the social unrest around the demonstration of May 1, 1890 in Vienna (Isère) and the clashes that followed. J.-P. Buisson had then chased The Mayor of the City who wanted to intervene to calm the participants of a political meeting. Then Pierre Martin and Buisson, "armed by a huge club" as well as Benoît Chatain "holding in his hand a black flag" would have excited a crowd of about 150 people, "while Louise Gagelin, Anna (...) and Marie Béala carried red flags", we hear the song of the Carmagnola, followed by attempts of looting of shops, first at a certain Garon (without success) then at a merchant The manager of a factory is also threatened by Buisson and one named Piollat, for pricing reasons.
The city is under siege and about sixty people are arrested, but the strikes will not stop until May 6.
J-P Buisson, will be among those arrested and prosecuted in the trial that will be held from August 8, 1890, before the Assize Court of Isère. Tennevin, Pierre Martin, and eight women (Louise Michel, meanwhile, will benefit from a non-place), held responsible for these disorders, will appear. Only Tennevin, Pierre Martin and Jean-Pierre Buisson will be sentenced to one year in prison.
