Biography
American Symbolist poet, who wrote mostly in French, and anarchist sympathiser, born. Taught in Paris by Stéphane Mallarmé and by the time he published his first book of poems, 'Les Gammes', he was active Parisian anarchist circles. He campaigned for the Haymarket Martyrs and for the release of Oscar Wilde. His other works include 'Les Fastes' (1891), and 'Petits Poèmes d'Automne' (1895).
