Alfred Sanftleben

German militant anarchist propagandist, typesetter and translator, who was also active in Switzerland and the US. A friend of Nettlau, Landauer, Rocker and the Flores Magón brothers (translating articles into English for their paper 'Regeneración'). He was greatly influenced by Giovanni Rossi (of the South American Cecilia Colony fame), who collected and translated many of his writings including his 'Un Comune Socialista' (1876), which Alfred Sanftleben translated and edited under the title 'Utopie und Experiment' (1897).
