Biography
French poet, playwright, short story writer, novelist, art critic, youthful anarchist and proto-Surrealist. Born in Rome. At school in Nice he discovers anarchism and becomes a Dreyfusard, before moving to Paris in 1899. There he becomes part of the artistic and anarchist communities of Montmartre and Montparnasse, befriending the likes of Cocteau, Jarry, Picasso, Breton, de Vlaminck, Derain, etc. - La Revue Anarchiste n°6 (juin 1922) w/ de Vlaminck on Apollinaire
