Belgian author, film-maker, documentarist, actor, Surrealist and anarchist. He co-founded the Cinémathèque Royale de Belgique (Royal Belgian Film Archive) and was an actor in Jean Vigo's 'Zéro de Conduite' (1933), playing the curé.
