Jean-Marie Giraudon

Jean-Marie Giraudon was the son of Jean with whom he lived 47, rue Bugeaud in Lyon. It belonged to the revolutionary federation of the Eastern Region, which in March 1881—that is to say, a few weeks before the Centre’s regional congress in Paris, which marked the split between socialists and anarchists—grouped most of the anarchists in the Eastern region.

On 28 October 1882, following the attack in L’AssomoirL’Assomoir (see Cyvoct), he was arrested with Gleizal, Hugonnard and Pinoy. He was again arrested on 19 November 1882, as well as twenty-five of his companions of the revolutionary federation, following the violent demonstrations of the minors of Montceau-les-Mines of August 1882 and the bombings perpetrated in Lyon in October 1882. Involved in the trial, known as the Trial of 66 (see Bordat), he appeared before the Lyon Criminal Court on 8 January 1883. Giraudon, accused of the 1st category, was acquitted on 19 January 1883.
