Meta Kraus-Fessel

German civil servant, social expert, sexologist, social democrat, then communist, and ultimately anarchist and anti-Nazi, who – amongst her many claims to 'fame' – was the first woman official in the Prussian Ministerium für Volkswohlfahrt (Ministry of People's Welfare) and was one of the co-founders of Roten Hilfe (Red Aid) in 1924.
